Happy Pi Day!
Wednesday, March 14 2007 -- Posted by Bozorgmehr

Happy Pi Day everyone! No, I am not referring to pies you eat, but the number pi (3.14).

A bittersweet ritornello
Thursday, February 1 2007 -- Posted by Bozorgmehr

There is a general theme in science in which you spend more time analyzing results you didn't expect and explaining why you didn't get the results you were expecting. But I suppose if things were as predictable as chick flicks, then you probably wouldn't have been alive to read this now.

Sleep...or a lackof
Tuesday, October 17 2006 -- Posted by Bozorgmehr

For some reason, I haven't been going to bed before 3am. Right now it's about 3:30am...don't know why.

Just to let ya know
Sunday, September 17 2006 -- Posted by Bozorgmehr

Have I told you how much I miss traveling? I'm back at my normal school, doing that normal school stuff (although it is far more interesting this time around), actually studying...for more than an hour...and then I think about last semester, and how on Sundays I would have returned from a weekend travel. Those were the good `ol days.

Now I'm sitting here debating how I will finish a lab report, start a pre-lab write-up, finishing reading a chapter, and study for a test all in the span of one hour. But what's going to end up happening is that after about an hour's thought, I will realize that such a feat is indeed impossible, so I'll go to sleep with nothing accomplished but dreaming happily about my next soccer game.

Raising the bar
Friday, September 1 2006 -- Posted by Bozorgmehr

Ever wonder how you could raise the value of your bicycle? All you have to do is add one those little bars to your wheel (I don't know the proper term) to allow for a standing passenger. (Essentially, the centers of your two rear wheels have short bars extending out to permit a passenger to stand on them.) While the monetary value will increase by a little bit, the coolness factor increases a hundred-fold.

School and stuff
Tuesday, August 22 2006 -- Posted by Bozorgmehr

Most students will be going back to school about now, give or take a week. I think this is the first time that I haven't given much thought about the first day. Before, I used to get excited about the classes, people, friends, squirrels...but now it's lost most of its thrills. My current impression is comparable to going back to school after a long weekend, even though I've technically been away for a whole year (I studied aboard in Europe last year). I can't decide if this means anything.

For some random tidbit...I saw more of my friends this week alone than I did the entire summer.

Time for change
Tuesday, August 22 2006 -- Posted by Bozorgmehr

Previously, this page was themed under a Harlaxton design, but alas all good things must come to an end. I figured the end of the chapter of one story should mark the start of something else. Hence, this is what I present to you today. I could offer a made explanation of how the water droplet on the branch symbolizes the slow and steady journey of one's life, and how that one droplet, while small and minute, serves a fundamental purpose. But no, I shall spare you from such nonsensical tales.

A rare privilege?
Friday, June 9 2006 -- Posted by Bozorgmehr

Things have not going well at work lately, so the owner plans to spend an evening at the building (a movie theater) and to give us, the employees, a pep talk. The fact that I get to hear the head poncho himself impart a few words of wisdom to us misguided sheep has me exhilarated. And I plan on taking a notebook with me so I can hastily scribble down his every word. Straight from the horse’s mouth. What an opportunity!

Hey there, mate
Sunday, May 14 2006 -- Posted by Bozorgmehr

I just wanted to say that I am safely back in the US. Actually, I have been back for a while. I do not know why the updates stopped while I was overseas, but I guess other things got in the way. Who knows... At any rate, the photo album hopefully kept you occupied. But I did have a great time there; it was an amazing experience.

I really do not have anything worthwhile to say, so I'll call it a night.

Can I have your attention please?
Monday, February 6 2006 -- Posted by Bozorgmehr

I never thought I'd do this, especially publicly like this (as if anyone reads this), but now that I'm here in England, way from everyone, I've come to realise what I left behind at home (how to avoid run-on sentences was one of them). The best brother I could ever ask for.

Random...yes. But I felt it was worth mentioning.
